Where to start? You are probably feeling overwhelmed with the task. Rest assured it can be an easy, fun and exciting process. First, depending on the style of your home you need to pick a style. That's not to say you have to stick to that one style. You may find along the way that you veer
off to other styles, however, you probably wouldn't stray too far. For example if traditional speaks to you chances are odd that you will come home with a contemporary painting of for example two purple squares on a white canvas. There are also ways to mix and match styles and still have them mix. For example you might have floral black and white prints that would go beautifully with a contemporary breakfast area. Another route to take would be a theme. You might live near the water, therefore a simple nautical (blues and whites) theme would work nicely. You may even opt for the Captains wheel on a wall in the den! Making your home personal to you is vital and key. Instead of hanging store bought pictures, hang pictures of prints that you like. Easily done now with digital cameras.
